An Organisation-Wide Observability Platform for a German Charter Airline

The Challenge

Engineering and operations teams were monitoring systems independently, each with its own tools and dashboards. There was no shared, organisation-wide view of platform health, so diagnosing an incident meant piecing together a picture from several teams working in isolation.

Our Approach

We designed and delivered an observability platform on Azure built around Prometheus for metrics collection, Grafana for visualisation, and Elasticsearch for log aggregation and search. Rather than leaving dashboard design to individual teams, we established organisation-level board standards so every team’s dashboards followed the same structure and could be read consistently by anyone in the business.

The Outcome

Teams gained a shared, consistent set of dashboards in place of ad-hoc, team-specific monitoring. Incidents could be triaged against a common view of system health instead of each team working from its own fragmented picture.
